Who makes Lode
Lode is an iPhone app for tracking spending, budgets, bills and trips. It is made by an independent developer.
How the Help Center and the Journal are written
- Checked against the app. Before a page is published, everything it says about Lode is checked against the app as it is at that moment. When the app changes, the page is updated, and its “Updated” date moves only when the content really changes.
- Sources. Figures that don’t come from Lode itself — surveys, prices, rules — link to where they come from.
- Other apps. When an article compares Lode with another app, it says that we make Lode, gives the date the facts were checked, links to the other app’s own pages, and says where the other app is better.
- Eleven languages. The site is published in the app’s 11 languages, and features are named the way the app names them in each language. If something reads wrong in yours, please tell us.
Not financial advice
The Help Center explains how Lode works, and the Journal shares general ways to manage everyday money. Neither is financial, tax or legal advice for your situation.
Your data
Lode keeps your financial data on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. What leaves the device, and when (for example, what AI features send), is in the Privacy Policy.
